Terms and Conditions Governing the use of On-Line Services
Use of Yik Koh Teo & Partners' on-line services is subject to the following
terms :-
- Whilst the firm would be pleased to undertake work for which free estimates may
be obtained herein, the firm reserves the right not to do so and use of the free estimates
services shall not by itself result in any solicitor and client relationship coming into
existence between the user and the firm.
- Where any service is provided free of charge (e.g. legal cost estimator), the
firm shall not under any circumstances be responsible in any way for the its accuracy,
effectiveness or fitness for any purpose. Further, costs estimated are subject to
change without notice where the circumstances warrant.
- Notwithstanding receipt of a confirmation page by the user upon the submission
of any on-line instructions, no solicitor and client relationship shall come into
existence until a file reference number has been informed to the user by the firm.
The firm shall contact the user at the telephone number or email address provided by the
user to notify the user of the file reference. The user may also call the firm to
get a file reference number.
- The firm reserves the right to terminate the retainer at any time without
assigning any reason whatsoever. The user shall be informed of the termination of
the retainer by telephone at the contact number provided by the user. In any
event, the retainer shall be deemed to be terminated if the firm is not able to contact
the user at the contact telephone number provided by the user after trying to do so for a
reasonable number of times.
- In respect of any of the paid services, the firm reserves the right to require
the user to make full payment before proceeding to act on the user's instructions.
- The user confirms that all information provided in the on-line instructions form
are true and accurate.
